The Right to be Ridiculous

I want to go on a magical adventure

Filled with Christmas lights and orchestral music. Childhood nostalgia should play a part, but I want the people along with me to be from my present.

Disneyland seems the perfect place to let this happen. Unfortunately, the poor college student I am can not afford such an adventure.

Does anybody else find lights to be magical? I have two strings of Christmas lights in my bedroom, and it just glows. I’m a light-person. I like well-lit rooms.

This generated many arguments with my mother in high school. We have two lamps in our living room. One is a chandelier that has a very bright set of lights on one setting, and a duller bulb on the second setting, and both are on in the third. The other is just a table lamp that gives off a sufficient amount of light.

When I’m in the living room back home, I prefer having all of those lights on, even if I’m just watching tv or on my computer. My mother would come in and yell at me because I don’t need those lights. I understand that she would be mad if I was in my bedroom and I left all that light on, but I was in the room! I just like light. This is why I love summer. In the winter, I have to have lamps on during the day, because overcast doesn’t do it for me. That’s cold light.

I’m also really bad about turning lights off. I was all alone here last night, and I went down the hall, and realized every single light in the whole house was on. It just gives me security. I’ve been watching too many vampire themed shows lately.
